Italian authorities confirm injured students transferred to Milan have passed the critical phase
All the Italian youths injured in the fire that broke out on New Year’s Eve at the Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana are now out of life-threatening danger. The confirmation came from Italian health authorities and Lombardy’s regional welfare councillor, Guido Bertolaso, following their transfer and admission to Niguarda Hospital in Milan for specialist treatment.

Due to the saturation of intensive care units in the canton of Valais, many of the most seriously injured were transferred to specialised Italian facilities, in particular to Niguarda Hospital in Milan, where high-level care was available.
All out of danger, but recovery continues
According to Councillor Bertolaso and the medical teams involved, the main immediate risks linked to burns and respiratory complications have now been overcome. Although the patients remain under close medical supervision and are still in recovery, they are no longer considered to be in life-threatening condition, a development described by doctors as both significant and reassuring.
