Rome holds 2025 edition of Maritozzo Day on 6 December.
Maritozzo Day, Rome’s tribute to the maritozzo, takes place in the capital every year on the first Saturday of December.
Now in its ninth edition, Maritozzo Day is devoted to celebrating the popular Roman treat, from the classic cream-filled version to more adventurous creations.
Each year, organisers Tavole Romane invite fans to head to their trusted maritozzo-makers to “savour each bite, slowly” and post maritozzo photos and videos on social media.
Some of the favourite Rome venues of maritozzo connoisseurs include Regoli, Bompiani, Il Maritozzo Rosso, Romoli dal 1952, Roscioli and Casa Manfredi.
