Italy celebrates Giornate Europee del Patrimonio.
Italy will host a nationwide programme of cultural events to mark the 2025 edition of European Heritage Days on the weekend of 27-28 September.
Under the theme Architecture: the art of building, the two-day event includes special tours in museums, galleries, libraries and archaeological sites, some of which are usually difficult to visit.
Many of the heritage sites will also stay open late on 28 September with an entry fee of just €1.
Held annually across Europe since 1991, the European Heritage Days initiative is designed to emphasise the common cultural heritage shared between Europeans.
For full details of events and participating venues see the Italian culture ministry website and the European Heritage Days website.
