Vasari Corridor to open on Friday nights in 2025.
Florence’s newly restored Vasari Corridor, which runs across Ponte Vecchio, will open for special guided tours on Friday nights from 4 July until the end of this year.
The tours of the Florentine landmark will be held from 19.00 until 23.00 every Friday night until the end of this year, with the exception of 15 August, a public holiday in Italy.
The elevated kilometre-long passageway, which links the Uffizi Galleries with Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens, reopened recently after an eight-year €11 million programme of renovation works.
Named after its designer, Italian Renaissance painter and architect Giorgio Vasari, the walkway was built in 1565 for Cosimo I de’ Medici, founder of the Florentine Medici dynasty.
The Friday evening visits, which last roughly half an hour and cost €20, can be booked online as well as through the Uffizi call centre and ticket office.
