Jannik Sinner won the Miami Open 2026 and completed what is being called a record-breaking Sunshine Double, winning both Indian Wells and Miami without dropping a single set. The South Tyrolean world number two beat Czech Jiri Lehecka 6-4, 6-4 in the final, played in the early hours of Monday Italian time, with the match repeatedly delayed and then interrupted by rain.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sinner is the first player in the history of men’s tennis to complete the Sunshine Double without losing a set throughout both tournaments. The last man to win both titles in the same season was Roger Federer in 2017.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The victory is Sinner’s seventh Masters 1000 title and his 26th trophy on the ATP Tour overall. He now heads into the clay season having won 32 consecutive sets at Masters 1000 level \u2014 a record of its own.
